Our highway and intersection assessments provide highway authorities with an understanding of the current traffic situation and what improvements shall be required in the short and long term. With highway preliminary designs supported by globally recognised TRANSYT modelling, our track record has provided our clients with design concepts to meet their objectives under national and local design standards with minimal financial investment.

Well received by our clients, we can also provide highway corridor and intersection initiatives with minimising land area in mind, efficiency and longevity supported by modelling analysis using SIDRA, TRANSYT, LinSig, Junctions (PICADY, ARCADY), and VISSIM.

The information supporting our designs provides our clients and highway authorities with confidence, with forecast queue lengths, DoS, performance index, saturation flows and visualisations to highlight traffic-sensitive areas.

In 2011, we provided a well-received presentation on ‘Innovative Transport Engineering Designs’ to VicRoads (the Victorian highways authority) and the Victorian Department of Transport (State Government). This led to commissioning our services to provide a freeway interchange design to VicRoads senior management for a new freeway interchange using a cut-through roundabout (Hamburg-about) design to minimise traffic delays during construction. The project, engineered in CAD and the design strengthened by a VISSIM modelling, was commended by the highways authority for its road safety merits, high benefit-cost ratio and provisions for pedestrian/cycle movements.
