Travel Plans are long-term management strategies for integrating sustainable travel proposals into the planning process, based on evidence of the anticipated transport impacts of development and, they set measures to promote and encourage sustainable travel, such as promoting walking and cycling.
Under national and local planning policies, i.e. National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), at Ayen Consulting we prepare Travel Plans to encourage sustainable and active travel for the proposed developments, reducing car use where practicable and mitigating the environmental effects of development.
We can also assist with negotiations of Section 106 and 278 agreements, including the level of financial contributions required for proposed transport-related measures.
